Dead Sea Mud Mask – Best Bath Store

Mud_Mask250

The Dead Sea Mud Mask is one of the dead sea mud offerings from the Best Bath Store. I’m a fan of masks since my acne meds hurt my face something awful from time to time, and most masks really tend to sooth and heal some of the roughness and dryness that comes from having bad skin. This is one of the nicer masks that I’ve used – I didn’t get the full sized container, just the sample, which looks to have enough for two or three applications. The texture was nice and smooth, and it went on and washed off nicely. My skin feels nice and tight, and some of my redness did end up going away. I have to say that I definitely liked this one from Best Bath Store.

Faerie Made Soaps Facial Mask – Glacial Milk

I’ve tried a few different handmade facial masks, but I’ve never found one that worked quite so well as the one that Faerie Made makes. The main one that I use is the Glacial Milk, as it just feels so nice against my skin. It has a nice but neutral scent, so it’s good for the guys as well, and when you take it off your skin is going to feel so deliciously nice and tight.

It’s a clay mask, so you can make it as thin or thick as you like, and it is so nice to wear on the skin that you can use it as an overnight mask as well. It certainly helped to keep my skin nice and healthy and feeling great. Get it direct from Faerie Made Soaps’s shop.

Amethyst Soap Honey Complextion Bar

Like all of the other Amethyst Soaps, their honey complextion soap looks stunning. The color is a rich honey, and the smell is quite heavenly. This is one of the first soaps that I used for a facial soap, and I’ve always been quite happy with the results. It’s a glycerin soap which helps to clean the skin without sucking away moisture, so you don’t have to worry about it drying out your face. That’s always been a big issue for me when it came to commercial acne products, but this honey soap is perfect and leaves my skin fresh, not cracked.

There is also chamomile in the soap, which helps to keep irritation down as well. The lather is nice, and there are plenty of different sizes so that you can try out a smaller size or go right for the big guns. The shipping on their sample sizes products is also very very good. See it at their etsy shop.

Luscious Naturals Handmade Cold Process Soap – Charcoal Tea Tree Peppermint

Although I unfortunately have bad enough adult acne that I needed to resort to a prescription topical cream, I do still use facial soaps to keep my skin feeling fresh and tight, as opposed to dry and flaky that the cream leaves me. Luscious Naturals Charcoal Sea facial soap is the one I’m currently using, and I absolutely love it. First off, the aesthetics of it is really neat – I love the black and white, along with the natural and somewhat rustic look of the bar.

This is a handmade cold process soap, in case you were wondering how it was made exactly. The lather is medium out of the handmade soaps that I’ve used, although you don’t need a ton to wash off your face, and it foams up well with a loofa. Of course I recommend always using a loofa with your handmade soaps – it adds to the exofiliation. The bars also last forever – I ordered this back in December, and it’s still going strong!

My face feels incredibly clean after using this soap, and it has so much facial goodness that you’ll love it. The main reason I bought this was because I had been wondering how the charcoal soaps were as far as cleansing, and the tea tree oil has always been good for faces. The peppermint is a subtle hint in this bar, not overpowering, but just a nice, fresh feel. You can buy the Charcoal Seas soap from Luscious Naturals etsy store.

Faerie Made Soaps Facial Sampler

Like many people that suffer from adult acne, I’ve been around the block when it comes to solutions – and been driven insane for years from it. Since I go through so many different kinds of facial care products, both handmade and otherwise, you can be sure that I was happy when I saw that Faeriemade Soaps offered up a great sample package.

I’ll review each component in turn, since there’s a lot going on here. There is a .10 oz facial elixir that I honestly didn’t use too much of – I don’t know why but it just felt odd on my face. I did use plenty of the .25 oz samples of the toner, which felt great, and the clay masks. I’ve purchased plenty of the glacial milk masque after this sample pack – it does a great job of clearing out my pores and making my face feel all nice and tight and clean.

The soaps were nice as well, and there are three different kinds – my favorite was the sea spa soap, which uses sea salt and dead sea mud. The Oatmeal honey was very cleansing and the lavender citrus had a fascinating scent. They are a bit difficult to get the lather up, but these bars do last quite some time.

You can purchase the full sized versions or the sample facial pack at Faeriemade Soaps’ etsy shop.
