Dirty Sanchez Handmade Soap Sampler with Attitude

If you haven’t had the pleasure of reading a Dirty Sanchez product description before, you owe it to yourself to get over to her Etsy shop and start reading . These are hands down the most hilarious product descriptions I have ever read. Now that that’s out of the way, the next thing you’ll want to do is get your booty over to her shop to buy some of her luscious handmade soaps. I went through her sampler over the last two or three days, and there wasn’t a soap in there that I didn’t like. The lather on all of them was so lovely and luxurious, and the scents were clean, crisp, and lovely. I loved the packaging as well, and you get paper versions of the description with each soap, along with the most awesome packing slip ever that I’ll need to scan for you. There are plenty of different soaps to choose from, so go take a look at Dirty Sanchez.

SpaTherapy’s Raspberry Vanilla Natural Vegan Deodorant

il_430xN.38814943

SpaTherapy, as you have probably figured out, is one of my favorite handmade bath and beauty product sellers. It helps that they’re very close locally (just 45 minutes away) and it also helps that they almost always have an awesome new product just around the corner. The Raspberry Vanilla Natural Vegan Deoderant is one of those things that really helped to convince me that handmade is where it’s at. I won’t lie, I’m overweight (dieting and all that fun stuff though, so :P ) so I tend to sweat a lot more than some piddly little deodorant can take care of.

I was pretty much resigned to just slopping it on every time I went to the bathroom, but then I found out about their natural deodorant. It neutralizes the smell, and lasts forever – I have to say that I love it, and they carry so many different kinds of handmade deodorant that you’re sure to find one in a scent that you like. I’m just a sucker for all things vanilla based.

Best Bath Store Handmade Shampoo

Best Bath Store has been pretty hit or miss for me in this batch of samples – let’s take the moisture rich shampoo, for example. It lathers up great, and it leaves my hair feeling squeaky clean, which I like since I never did get the hang of bar shampoos (I usually use a cream shampoo). However, the scent on this one is so bloody floral that I feel like I’m being eaten alive by cute little spring flowers. I’m just not a floral kind of girl, and there’s lavender, sage, rosemary, and peppermint chilling out in this soap. If you like floral scents, you are probably going to fall in love. However, I don’t so sadly I’m going to have to put a no vote in on getting more of this shampoo.

Holiday Spice Best Bath Store Handmade Soap

Although I certainly wasn’t thrilled with their Vanilla Bean handmade soap that I reviewed the other day, the Holiday Spice soap from Best Bath Store made up for it in droves. This scent combination certainly does bring the holidays to mind, with heady scents of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and clove – there’s orange in there as well, but that didn’t come through as strongly as the other. It certainly has a strong, lingering scent that made me smell simply wonderful, and the lather was rich and easy to work up as well. I’d definitely go for more of the Holiday Spice!

Best Bath Store Vanilla Bean Handmade Soap

I received my big box of samples from the Best Bath Store the other day, and I haven’t had a chance to use them until now. The Vanilla Bean soap was the second handmade soap from them that I’ve tried, and unfortunately it was my least favorite of the three that I ordered. There wasn’t anything necessarily terrible about it – it has a rough hewn look that I always like, with an earthy color, and the lather was excellent. However, the smell was incredibly underwhelming, to the point where I could hardly smell the vanilla. If I was going for unscented I’d be cool with it, but scent is one of the big things for me when it comes to handmade soap.
